What To Wear
What you wear is key for a successful session. Clothing complements who you are as a family, speaks to the environment in which the session is taking place, and coordinates with the home where final images will be displayed. Your style should be as unique as your family, so we’ve put together some clothing advice for a creative, comfortable session.
Suggestions for the whole family:
- Plan your outfits out completely a few days before your session. *Including accessories, feel free to ask my opinion.
- Choose a palette of 3-4 colors and mix it up with pants and dresses. (Picture a page in a clothing catalog where everyone coordinates, but nobody stands out from the rest.)
- Stay away from having logos or wild patterns on your clothes.
- Make sure all clothes are clean and pressed.
- Shoes must be clean and stylish too.
- Don't forget to clean/trim your fingernails.
Suggestions for the little ones/newborn babies:
- Newborns are sweet, sleepy bundles; keep things simple.
- Solid colored onesies, white for pure photos.
- I have a room full of props, but do welcome you to bring sentimental items.
- Refrain from huge bows, wild patterns, and keep in mind of color casting. (where the color of the clothes lands on the children)
- Layers are always encouraged.
- Coordinate with the colors of the rooms where you want images to be hung.
- Be sure to keep weather in mind.
- I do have some things on hand for outfits. <3
